Other Things in Spring Festival

NEW HAIR CUT

Festival is end, however as old Chinese tradition, kids can't have hair cut until 2nd Fed(in lunar calendar). Therefore, today I went to have a new hair cut. It could have a lot of meaning, like new style in new year, new life in new year........

LUCKY MONEY

Lucky money is beat part in Spring Fsstival, especially for kids.

As time goes on, I am not a kid anymore. However, because I am the yougest girl in my family I still have the chance to get lucky money.

Lantern festival

As we konw, in Chnia spring festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th,this day is called the Lantern festival. Just like Chniese New Year Eve, all family members get toghter again on Lantern festival. My mun, my aunt and me make dumplings for dinner then my dad drove us to Xinghai Square to watch the beautiful pyrotechnic because after that day it means the holiday is over, people need to go back to work and the new year begains.

2009 Spring Festival

Spring Festival is one of the most important time in China, no matter how fast the society developed some traditions would change such as making dumplings in New Year's Eve after dinner and have it around midnight. Dumplings symbolize wealth because their shape is like a Chinese tael. Nowadays, making dumplings together is not only for good luck in next year but also means " tuanyuan" which means all family members together.

Cherish Everyday-My feeling towards winter hoilday

2009 is my last winter holiday in Mapleleaf, in Dalian, in China and this thought will always make me feel sad. There are too many things that I want to do, but time is always not enough. 5weeks, it sounds like a long time, but as an old saying goes, "Time wait for no man". Holiday will finish in a fast speed and we are so weak when we face it. We can't change yestoday, what we can do is to cherish today. Holiday will coming soon and will past soon, so now I feel so clamly toward it. I want to cherish all days in my hometown, I want to cherish all minutes when I stay with my friends and families. However, I also need to cherish everyday in Mapleleaf before holiday.
Before winter holiday, I thought of the return day at the beginning of this term, it was so fast, half year is done now. Five weeks will past soon even though it is not start yet.Cherish everyday, that is only thing I can do now.
